Program
08:00 — Departure from Osh city. Travel to the foothills of the Turkestan Range — pristine, off-the-beaten-path locations.
Our route takes us to the small town of Batken, nestled between the mountains and the Fergana Valley.
09:00 — Stop at Dangi Canyon, home to endangered red-listed griffon vultures.
Continue to Shahimardan Valley to admire the breathtaking views of the Alay Mountains.
13:30 — Lunch at an authentic tea house by the river, a sacred spot for locals.
16:30 — Arrival in Batken. Check-in at the hotel.
Afternoon excursion to a natural gallery of rare petroglyphs.
19:30 — Dinner at the hotel, followed by a lecture: “The Tien Shan in the Context of Central Asia: Millions of Years Before the Silk Road.”

08:30 — Departure to Madygen Geopark. Stop along the way for photos by Tortkul Reservoir.
09:00 — Guided exploration of the geopark valleys: Sphinx Valleys, Unkur-Sai, Mollusk Valleys, Ancient Metallurgists’ Sites. This is a paradise for geologists, paleontologists, photographers, and nature enthusiasts. Spot rare red-listed fauna and experience landscapes that feel like another planet!
Visit the ancient metallurgical courtyard where metal was smelted from the Kani-Gut cave ore. Discover the Dinosaur Valley, the Koshum spring, and the Musketov poplars in the Madygen Oasis.
13:30 — Arrive at Madygen Oasis, a sacred site for the Naiman people.
14:00 — Lunch in the Madygen grove.
15:00 — Adventure trip to the Kalcha-Bashi Valley and Tenge-Sai Canyon, exploring untouched landscapes.
18:30 — Return to the oasis. Check-in to yurts or tents in the luxurious poplar grove. Camp facilities include toilets and showers. No cell signal — complete immersion in nature.
19:00 — Masterclass on cooking plov, followed by dinner.

09:00 — Demonstration of ancient metal smelting at Kani-Gut Cave Mine. Learn how ores were processed into metal during the 9th–10th centuries.
12:00 — Lunch at Madygen camp.
13:00 — Visit Jangakty Canyons and explore the colorful Sary-Tau Mountains. Discover spectacular canyon landscapes.
16:00 — Travel to Samarkandek Village. Watch local women weave traditional carpets by hand, preserving centuries-old techniques.
17:00 — Participate in a traditional carpet-weaving masterclass with commentary from a cultural expert.
18:30 — Return to Batken.
19:30 — Hotel check-in.
20:00 — Dinner at the hotel.
08:00 — Breakfast at the hotel.
08:30 — Journey through uncharted areas of Turkestan. Drive along mountain roads with breathtaking turns and serpentines. Explore Soch Valley, its monumental canyon, cliff-side villages, Kan Fortress, and Zardaly Village, where locals dry nasvai.
14:00 — Lunch in an authentic local house in Zardaly.
15:00 — Return to Batken, capturing landscapes from new perspectives.
18:00 — Hotel rest.
19:00 — Dinner at the hotel. Optional evening excursion to watch the sunset over Tortkul Reservoir.
