Why? To get to Lake Kurban-Kul, you need to go through the Uzbek enclave of Shakhimardan, where the border crossing is available only for citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. However, we offer you a unique route along the Alai ridge, where you can not only see this mysterious lake, but also other high-mountain lakes. The path will pass through picturesque valleys and peaks, and on the way back – along the already passed path, you will see the Alai landscapes from a different perspective.
The mysterious Lake Kurban-Kul, located in the Alai Mountains at an altitude of 1738 m, attracts tourists with its secluded location in the canyon and picturesque nature. This amazingly beautiful route will take you through canyons and valleys of alpine meadows, revealing breathtaking views and the atmosphere of the highlands. The place is ideal for adventure lovers and those looking for hidden corners of Kyrgyzstan. This trek will give you the opportunity to see the unique natural beauty of Alai.
You can arrive at the beginning of the route by flying to the airport of Osh. If you are planning to come from Uzbekistan, you need to cross the border checkpoint Dustlik, located near the Osh city
