Trekking around Lake Sary-Chelek. Three days in a UNESCO biosphere reserve
This 3-day trek will take you through one of the most picturesque places in Central Asia – the Sary-Chelek Biosphere Reserve, listed by UNESCO. The route passes through alpine meadows, dense walnut-fruit forests, high mountain passes and a cascade of crystal clear lakes.
Tour features:
– Lake Sary-Chelek is one of the deepest in Kyrgyzstan (up to 234 m),
– Picturesque panoramic views from the Ashuu Pass (2551 m),
– Unique flora: Tien Shan spruce, relict walnut forests,
Tour format: Medium-difficulty hiking (daytime hikes 10-15 km).
Accommodation: Tents/guest houses (on request).
Best time: June–September.

Route in the Kyzyl-Suu Valley, Makmal Pass (2654 m), descent to Lake Sary-Chelek
The culmination of today's route will be a breathtaking view from the Ashuu Pass. Having climbed the neighboring hill, a view of almost the entire territory of the reserve opens up. Accommodation in a guest house.
