Trekking in the “Asian Patagonia”, in the Ak-Suu Peak Region
“Asian Patagonia” is a romantic name given to the high-mountain region of Kyrgyzstan due to its similarity to the harsh, majestic landscapes of Patagonia in South America. But here in Asia, this region finds its own uniqueness.
The phenomenal mountain region, the so-called “Asian Patagonia”, is called the heart of the Turkestan Range. It seems endless when you walk along winding paths surrounded by sharp peaks that pierce the sky like the spears of ancient warriors. The winds blowing from the passes bring the smell of fresh snow, and the alpine meadows, dotted with carpets of different grasses, create an incredible contrast.
The landscapes here are harsh, but this is precisely their greatness. Glaciers such as Asan-Usin and Ak-Suu or Ak-Tyubek seem like pieces of sky that have fallen to the ground. Clouds are reflected on the mirror walls of mountain peaks, creating a fantastic illusion. And around there is untouched wild nature, where you can meet grazing yaks, herds of horses and even stone ibexes jumping along rocky ledges.
Here you feel like a real discoverer who has found himself in an ancient world, where nature has remained the same as the planet itself created it. The weather is changeable, like your mood – from bright sun to sharp wind and low-lying fog. This place makes your spirit become free and your thoughts clear.

Transport: Depending on the number of participants, a 4-seater vehicle or a Mercedes Sprinter minibus will be provided.
For a comfortable trekking, your cargo will be transported by horses. You will be able to enjoy the journey lightly.
In order to be prepared for weather changes, you must have a warm jacket, raincoat, sweatshirt, mountain sports boots, sleeping bag, mat, hat, sunglasses, flask and flashlight.

The path to the starting point of your trek in Ozgorush lies along the depressions of the fortieth parallel with the diverse landscapes of the Alay-Turkestan mountain range and the Fergana Valley. Accommodation in a guest house. Meeting the guide and horse breeders-porters. National dishes for dinner.
Trekking along a picturesque gorge. Magnificent panoramas and monumental mountain landscape. The smell of juniper, clean river waters and green mountain slopes. Night in tents at the confluence of the Kara-Suu - Ak-Suu rivers.
Today a lazy pleasant walk to the Uryam Pass, from where inspiring panoramas of the mountains open up. Return to the camp.
The route along the Ak-S River gradually leads to the glacier of the same name. Along the way, breathtaking panoramas of the surrounding landscapes. Ak-Tyubek Pass, 4389 m. Overnight in a camp at the source of the Ak-Tyubek River, at an altitude of about 3000 m.
