Trekking along the Chatkal Range: From Kara-Suu, Sary-Chelek to Chatkal
The Chatkal Trek is a journey into the heart of one of the most picturesque corners of Central Asia. Here you will encounter the pristine nature of the Chatkal Range, its majestic peaks, grandiose canyons and green valleys. Walking among bright alpine meadows, glacial cirques, crystal clear rivers and lakes, you will discover unique views from the passes, immerse yourself in the atmosphere of untouched nature, which has preserved its pristine beauty for centuries. It is recommended to arrive in Osh, which is 200 km shorter, to save time on getting to the starting point.

The road to the Sary-Chelek Nature Reserve passes through the contrasts of mountain ranges and the Fergana Valley. Colorful bazaars along the road selling fragrant melons and watermelons and a mosaic of colorful fields. Gradually the road leads to the mountains. Accommodation in a guest house. National dishes for dinner. Preparation for trekking.
In the morning - a hiking track along a picturesque gorge to Lake Kara-Suu. Here nature amazes with its pristine beauty and diversity. Overnight in a tent on the shore of the lake under the starry sky.
The route impresses with breathtaking panoramas. The pass offers a stunning view that gives a holiday of emotions and discoveries. Camping on the shore of Lake Sary-Chelek.
In the morning, exit to the Ashu pass, traverse across the Kechkil River to the Tamanyak pass and transition to the Aflatun River valley. Camp in Bechik-Sai.
Hiking from Bechik-Sai along the Aflatun River, then Ashu-Tor to the Mama-Yar-Djailoo tract. The tract offers very impressive views of the Chatkal landscapes. Camp in the tract.
The route of the day is filled with high-mountain passages and an overnight stay at Lake Aflatun on the northern slope of the Chatkal Range. Parking by the lake.
In the morning - descent to the Chatkal Valley. The trail passes through the Aflatun Canyon, then leads along a steep slope and comes out into the spacious Chatkal Valley. This section is called one of the most striking and memorable moments of the entire trek.
In the valley, our car will be waiting for you, in which you will go to Kanysh-Kiya - a small village in the valley.
Accommodation in a guest house. National dishes for dinner. Sharing impressions, rest.
The route lies through the Talas Range pass to the valley of the same name. Stop in Talas for lunch. Excursion to the Manas-Ordo memorial complex. Then the Suusamyr Valley. In Bishkek, check in at the hotel. Dinner at an ethno restaurant.
