- Morning transfer to the mountainous area.
- Accommodation at a guesthouse at 3,200 m (10,500 ft).
- Acclimatization and preparation for fieldwork.
- Scenic ride through high mountain passes into the snow leopard reserve.
- Arrival at base camp.
- Full-day expedition into a gorge for snow leopard tracking.
- Decision on overnight: return to base post (stay in a yurt or mobile field tent) or overnight in the field in a tent.
- Work in Koylu Gorge and surrounding areas.
- Overnight in a tent or, if returning, in a yurt or mobile field tent.
- Morning horseback ride back to the ranger post (3–4 hours).
- Accommodation in yurt or mobile field tent.
- Continue work in nearby gorges.
- Overnight decision based on field conditions: base post or in the field.
- Continue tracking in gorges near base camp.
- Jeep transfer to Uch-Koshkon or Tamga.
- Accommodation at a hotel.
